Two down fifteen to go

Well, two days are down and fifteen are remaining for Nancy's return trip, hopefully with Eden. I have always appreciated what Nancy does for our family but never more than while she is gone. Most of all we miss her presence.

All is going well for her in Addis, she gets to spend all day bonding with Eden without distraction, maybe this is Gods way of forceing us to slow down. Nancy is around the kids all day so if you want to call and talk with her you can - 011251912100454. I hope to speak with her soon.

I wanted to share an experience I had with the babies while in Addis. On the third day Nancy and I went in to get Eden and found all of the babies feeding. I was compelled to help one little guy because his bottle had fallen and he was crying. This baby had to be two months old and seemed very weak. While leaning over and holding his bottle I was hit with the section of verse in the bible that says "whatever you do for the least of these you do unto me". I was staring at Jesus and feeding him. Never before have I felt so small and so indebted to what Jesus has done on the cross for us. When I finished I spent the next half hour crying, I wouldn't trade that experience for anything.

Our lives are so fast paced and selfish that I walk by Jesus all the time. I never before considered myself to be like the religious leaders of old but now I realize my life is made up of what comforts me and I walk by the opportunities to forget myself and pick up someone else.
